The Society is delighted to share the launch of the Jane Austen Overton Trails, a new opportunity to explore the landscapes, landmarks, and personal connections that influenced Austen’s early years.
The walking and cycle trails span the neighbouring Hampshire villages of Overton, Ashe, and Deane, all within walking distance of Austen’s birthplace in Steventon. It was here that she drafted the novels that would later become Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Northanger Abbey.
