Filmed at Jane Austen’s House in Chawton (we are very grateful in particular to Lizzie Dunford) and narrated by actor Georgie Grier, it takes the theme of the opportunity and motive to marry as depicted in the novels. There are many reasons for reading Austen a quarter of a century after her birth – we touch lightly on one of them.
