The Jane Austen Festival in Bath will be taking place again this year and The Jane Austen Society will be there too.

What began as a few events across one weekend in 2001 is now a well-established event in the city of Bath and a pilgrimage for many Jane Austen devotees from around the world.

The Festival, which takes place across 10 days in September, consists of, workshops, talks, concerts, ball, tours, a 2000 strong promenade, and the Festival Fayre which will take place on the 11th and 12th of September.

We are pleased to announce that The Jane Austen Society will be hosting a stall at the Fayre. The Fayre which will be taking place across two venues for the first time this year, provides an opportunity for festival goers to mingle and snap up a bargain bonnet or accessory.

With Promenaders having free access to the Fayre, and tickets available for other Festival Goers, we are sure to meet many of you there and also make new friends on the way.

If you are attending the Festival Fayre this year, please come and say hello. We will be selling society reports, review copies of books that have been included in our newsletters, and there will also be some freebies! We will also be available to discuss membership options with you or just talk to you about what being part of the society can offer.

We hope to see you there.
