Doors open at 10.15 with coffee and biscuits

11am The first talk is Sue Dell: ‘Let there be Light: lighting in the times and novels of Jane Austen’

Approx 12.30pm – 2pm buffet lunch, or else you can make your own arrangements

2pm Second talk – John Mullan: ‘Offstage Austen’ (clues on conversations and manoeuvres that are not directly reported but shape the plots of the novels)

The event ends around 3.30pm

Cost for members £20 (non-members £24) with coffee and lunch; or £12 members (£13 non-members) with coffee but no lunch
